Remedial Massage

This focuses on treating injuries or specific soft tissue problems by applying Muscle Energy, Soft Tissue Release and Deep Tissue Massage techniques and stretches. These are specialized techniques designed to release muscle tension, increase lymphatic and vascular flow, improve poor mobility and release holding patterns within the muscular system caused by pain or injury. It is not a full body treatment, as the aim is to address specific problem areas over a series of treatments.

Therapeutic Massage

This involves both gentle and deep tissue massage strokes depending on the individual's needs and tolerances. This style of massage is perfect for a full body, relaxing treatment. It also has the ability to relieve many of the symptoms associated with a stressful lifestyle, such as soreness, headaches, insomnia, fatigue, depression and minor muscular aches and pains. Therapeutic massage is suitable for all age ranges and can be a wonderful way to relax, pamper yourself and harmonise your body and mind.

What to expect

Remedial and Rehabilitation massage is an oil-based treatment focusing on the entire person and not just immediate physical symptoms and conditions. This holistic approach is targeted to the needs of the individual's lifestyle, the medical history and the emotional make-up in conjunction with the perceived physical problem.

The first treatment includes a confidential consultation to fully understand your medical and lifestyle information as well as underlying causes of tension and imbalance in your body. You will normally be required to lie on a massage couch with a minimum of clothing, although this is always a matter of personal choice.

Towels and support cushions are provided. Before treatment, it is advisable to avoid eating a large meal. Similarly, after your massage, try to allow sufficient time to relax and absorb the benefits of your massage.
